To remove residual odors and stains from serving coffee or other strong-smelling foods, use a deodorant soak or disinfectant. Adding 1 tablespoon of baking soda to a liter of hot water to make a dilution, or a dilution of one part lemon juice or white vinegar to four parts hot water, works well. Rinse thoroughly with hot water and dry before storing for use.
